Pamala and Don Forrester were the first recipients of the city's new rebate program for green refrigerators. The couple lives in the Baring Cross neighborhood. He is a firefighter with the city of Little Rock. They were honored at Monday night's meeting of the North Little Rock City Council. The rebate program paid them $250 for their purchase of the new refrigerator. Mayor Patrick Hays said he also is in the process of securing the rebate.
